James Dimelow

James Dimelow has written, so far, 5 stage plays. To date, he has written 'Cathedral', 'Fall & Rise', 'Avenue', 'Shakespeare Spinney', and 'Kill Bill: Volume 3'. James is presently writing his 6th play, and he aims to complete it sometime during 2010. Although a comparatively new writer, James' work has been praised by London's Soho and Royal Court Theatres.

An increased media awareness of James' writing has led to several features and interviews. Partly due to the ever-growing popularity of this website, James was invited onto BBC Radio to discuss his plays and writing career to date.

As part of Norwich Writers' Circle, James is an active committee member, and was formerly the group's blog and web master.

James formerly attended Playwrights East on a regular basis. These development meetings, now finished, were jointly coordinated by the UEA's Drama Studio and the acclaimed Eastern Angles theatre company.

Previously, James has completed a Script & Screen Writing course at the University of East Anglia. He has also successfully completed the in-house Stage Management course at Norwich Theatre Royal.

During his spare time, James enjoys reading, listening to music, photography, visiting museums and art galleries, plus going to the cinema and theatre. James lives and works in Norwich, England, where he is also a regular visitor to The Sainsbury Centre.

Currently James is developing ideas for his next play. He is also seeking theatre companies to produce his other work. Information on each of James' previous plays can be found on their respective websites.
